The Schloss Augustusburg near Chemnitz has been the venue for the world premiere of the unique special exhibition “MANGAMANIA – Big eyes guaranteed!” since April 2017. Due to the great number of visitors and the continuing interest in the interactive  exhibition, this will continue until the 28th of October 2018.

So far, the wide range of special exhibitions has been very well received with many fully booked workshops and guided tours and will therefore be offered in extended form. Creative people of all ages are looking forward to the Summer Academy from the 16th to the 20th of July 2018 as well as the Autumn Academy from the 15th to the 21th of October 2018. In addition to the hitherto very popular and always booked-out MANGA drawing workshops, various cosplay workshops are also planned.

Inga Steinmetz, the best-known manga artist, was guest in July 2017 at Schloss Augustusburg. In the fully booked manga courses, teens could try out manga drawing and improve their drawing style.

We have combined the German comic with the Japanese manga in the castle church at Schloss Augustusburg.

Nestled in the wonderful castle church with the Cranach Altar since May 29 2017, there is much to learn about Luther, the electoral family and the Cranach Altar.
As a special extra there is a comic and a story about the Cranach Altar at Castle Augustusburg.
